Sisters in Crime

March 21st, 2016

I’m enjoying my tenure as a member (and currently president) of the Speed City Chapter of Sisters in Crime. Our meetings are always lively, we have great programs, and there are always opportunities to pursue. For example, thanks to members Diana Catt and Brenda Stewart (who are working hard as editors), we are putting together our fifth mystery anthology entitled The Fine Art of Murder. Look for its release by Cardinal Publishing in the fall of 2016.

Authors of the fourth anthology (Decades of Dirt, celebrating Indiana’s bicentennial) will be featured as speakers at the College Park Book Club  in Indianapolis on Thursday, March 24. This will be an opportunity for authors to connect with readers. Decades of Dirt is currently available through Amazon http://tinyurl.com/num3ae3 and CreateSpace  http://tinyurl.com/pcmbb5b.

Along with members Crystal Rhodes and Lillie Evans (authors of the Grandmothers Incorporated series) , I’ll be headed to Los Angeles for the Lights! Cameras! Action! workshop sponsored by the national Sisters in Crime organization. We’ll be learning about opportunities to pitch our stories to Hollywood. In fact, we’ll be matched up for a one-on-one session during the workshop. Hope I can sleep the night before! Stay tuned for updates and pictures.
