Meet Charlotte and Veronica, protagonists of Titania’s Suitor

Charlotte Stone and Veronica Hansen, the protagonists of Titania’s Suitor, are fictitious but they are based on composites of real people. They are friends, and both are nurses. Here’s a thumbnail sketch of both of them.
Charlotte Stone is facing her 40th birthday. Her husband, Pete, has moved out to give himself some “space” to think about their relationship. Charlotte returned to graduate school a few years ago, and that change brought about tension in her relationship with Pete. She feels committed to her studies, and is dedicating herself to finishing up her exams and dissertation so she can move on with life. They have a seven-year-old daughter, Lauren.
Veronica Hansen is in her sixties. She has two adult children (Anna and Alan) and several grandchildren. She is a nurse on a psychiatric nursing unit. she’s divorced and has a significant other who is a private investigator. In addition to her nursing career, Veronica moonlights as as “assistant PI” to Van, her boyfriend. Charlotte thinks Veronica leads an exciting life, but in Titania’s Suitor, Charlotte’s life is about to become more exciting, even dangerous.
